The Fellowship took shape when Glyn Edwards began discussions with colleagues about a new integral spiritual organisation that would draw on more than one tradition and look at areas connected with the whole of growth, including the body, the mind, the intellect, the intuitive, the creative, the emotional, the psyche, the transforming and the transpersonal, including areas related to after-death and shamanistic states of consciousness, levels of mystical experience, spirit communication and the immanent and transcendent creative Divine universe. Before any meeting took place about the formation of a new fellowship, Glyn approached the spiritual writer and integral non-dualist Santoshan (Stephen Wollaston) about composing a list of what he felt were key teachings and to summarise each of them, along with the wording for a mission statement. These were presented to a small gathering of friends who tentatively got together with Glyn to discuss the idea of a new fellowship. After more than three hours of shared thoughts and concerns about spirituality, where everyone present discussed what they felt it truly needed to embrace, the teachings were read out to see if they could be used as a framework on which to build. Amazingly they summarised and solidified exactly what had just been discussed and were instantly adopted as the Fellowship’s core Unfoldments and mission statement - the Fellowship’s Seven Reflections were added later and emerged out of a new spiritual book that Glyn Edwards and Santoshan started writing together in the spring of 2008. The right team was then put together in order to move ahead and form a recognised spiritual charity that would look at ways in which the Fellowship’s broad, inclusive, creative, reflective and collectively responsible approach could be promoted. Since then, the Fellowship has drawn people from diverse fields who have placed differences aside in order to become involved in an enriching organisation for authentic spiritual growth and maturity. The Fellowship hopes that you will also find some nourishment from which to draw on your journey. |
